A Polymath and Man of Mystery
Who am I?
After decades of a life on full-tilt, I have seen, learnt, experienced things that would take 3 lifetimes. Every day I have sucked as much energy and knowledge out of life as possible, because life is free and there to be taken. There is no such a thing as a quiet day, only ineffective use of time. I have lived in numerous countries, worked in 2 wars and taken more risks than Warren Buffet. I live my life as though it is my last, because one day it will be.
Every life I have touched has been hit with my personal whirlwind and I have left a debris of humanity behind me, mostly to the enrichment of those in my path. It’s time for you to get to know me and how I can enrich your life. Like Elon Musk, I am a Polymath* and below are the elements of my Polymathism.
Screenwriter
It started in 1999, when I got food poisoning in Warsaw, Poland. Through 4 days of delirium and hallucinations, I lived a full coloured feature film in my head. When I got better I wrote it out as my first script – ‘The Shooting Gallery’. I now have 24 International Screenplay awards. You can see a lot of my work at Screenplays.co.uk
Film Producer
After winning numerous film script awards, I released the only way to get a film made, would be to produce it myself. I attended numerous Director and Producer courses at Raindance and in 2005 produced my first short film called ‘The 5 minute rockstar’ which won an award at the Bournemouth Film Club. I was on my way.
Musician
I performed my first concert on 02 September 1977 at the Botanical gardens in Birmingham. My last live performance was at the Spratton Music Festival in July 2005. The last time I recorded in the studio was 2018 with the accompanying videos charting online or winning video competitions. My band Ricochet ceased writing together when the singer/songwriter Geoff Sewell died in Feb 2025. Sometimes I still dabble with music and still have my own record label at heavyrock.co.uk
Politician
After living a very varied life in different countries I think I can do a better job than the current politicians, as I have no political ideology. I believe everything should be based on common sense and logic. Once emotions and money are involved corruption and distortion creeps in. In June 2023 I set up the first official Non-Political party, NONPOL, in the UK and stood in the July 2024 General elections. See the extensive site for my political party at www.nonpol.com
Ethical Hacker
Since I left University in May 1996 I have been continually and constantly involved in Computers, Technology and IT. Starting as an IT Audit for Citibank in 1997, through to my current role as Senior InfoSec Consultant for a major American Financial Institution. Along the way I have had various roles and been trained as a Certified Ethical Hacker and Certified Hacking Forensics Investigator. I used to perform demonstrations at IT shows on hacking techniques and perform live hacks.
Inventor
I have had a green energy patent for 15 years and appeared on Dragons Den with it (see Poweridge.com). I am still looking for an investor on this and with the current interest in climate change, my patent is very topical. I have 2 other patents in draft format, but there is a huge cost developing and maintaining patents; especially for global patents.
Futurist
I am regarded as an early adopter, e.g. my Tesla is 9 years old and has done 300K miles. I see what is coming ahead of time and release the website, only for major corporations to adopt my ideas and turn them into serious profitable concerns, years later. My best vision of the future is the publishing of one of my futuristic screenplay in a book on Amazon called Frames. Like Star Trek it explains life in the future and with Musk’s Neuralink, we are much closer.
Public Speaker
In 2004 I qualified as a public speaker through Toastmasters International. I have spoken at technology events, especially as an Ethical Hacker. I still conduct speaking events where I talk about all types of technologies, from AI, Space, Bitcoin, Quantum Computers, LHC and Data Protection. I am not necessarily and expert in all of these fields but have enough knowledge to engage the public to have an interest. I also MC at music festivals. I know talk politics and numerous freedom rallies.
Speciest
When Larry Page called Elon Musk a Speciest, I rejoiced. I am now a card bearing Speciest as, like Elon, I care about the future and well-being of our species. Everything I done is for the benefit of other people. I want to share knowledge, ideas, experience and life with other people. We are strong as a group of people and each countries culture, history and heritage is what has bought the human race to where it is today, good or bad.
Traveller
From the age of 16 when I attended a beer festival in Belgium I got the travel bug. I no longer fly, even though I have flown many hundreds of times either on business or flying from Frankfurt or Zagreb to watch Aston Villa play. This is why my Tesla has 300k miles on the clock. I have charged it in 19 countries (I think Elon, this must be a record). Instead of flying I drive or go on cruises. I would say I am outside of England travelling around 12 times per year.
Technologist
From taking those gramophones apart when I was 16 to building my own computers from 1992, I am still a technology nerd. I started mining Bitcoin in 2012, I have Starlink (static and mobile) and 10 live cameras on the Internet. I got Windows 95 the day in was released in August 1995 and had the Nokia Commander the day it was released. I used to get the new iPhone on day of release, but now the costs verses functionality doesn’t make it sensible anymore. I also have android, MAC and Linux machines purely to understand how they function.
Entrepreneur
I set up my first company (IT and Internet services) in 1997 which is still running today. I own a portfolio of nearly 1000 domains and have released numerous websites over the years. I hold nearly 300 UK football domains for a football portal I ran, but these are now up for sale at Footytmail.com. I sold a domain for £30k and the domain darpa.com to put the deposit on my Tesla. I have my own T-Shirt brand at blotorch.co.uk. I don’t have so much time for my business ventures as currently the most important things for currently my day job and NONPOL.
Influencer
Through my life I have influenced almost anyone who has got to know me. I have saved marriages and people from suicide. I try to mentally provoke everyone I meet. I am now focused on building the Brand – ‘O’Neil’, which is the reason for this website. I will be launching all my social media channels in Q2 2025, watch out for them. I am also working on a documentary called ‘Who really runs the UK’, so any ideas, contacts or import there is welcome. I have decided that at this time of my life I need to take my influence global.
Philosopher
My life has taught me my own style of Philosophy. I don’t follow any traditional philosophy, just define my own to get me through life. My philosophical mantra is that the individual is ‘sacred’, no matter their gender, culture, religion, political ideology, age, size, or colour. HOWEVER ; I believe every group or ideology must be open to criticism or debate. No group is above us all and should not weaponise their ideology to gain superiority. If someone believes the Jewish tradition of circumcising a baby boy is child abuse, they should be able to say it without be accused of being anti-Semitic. Remember, the Arabs are also Semites.
Man of Mystery
There are many things in my life that don’t easily fall into one of these listed categories, but would raise an eyebrow or two. My first day trading on the stock market floor in London was Black Monday (19 Oct 1987). While in the Bosnian war I was sent a fax of a newspaper headline stating that my ex-girlfriend was a Stasi spy at the time I was working for the US Department of Defense on the security of US Cruise missile sites in Germany. Ironically I got this after returning from behind enemy lines from an illicit affair. There are numerous little gems of my life listed here and hopefully more to come.
* A polymath is an individual with broad knowledge and expertise across various fields, often excelling in disciplines as diverse as science, arts, and humanities. They are known for their ability to integrate and apply knowledge from multiple areas to solve complex problems or create innovative ideas.
Bio
The French call it a Curriculum Vitae, the German’s call it a Lebenslauf and the UK and US call it a Resume. What every it is, it tends to be an extremely dull document listing all your jobs and applying bullshit spin to try and impress. It tells you very little about the person, their interests or something more personal. I am therefore giving you my Biography, as they do in the Film Industry, so you learn more about me as a real person.
The Dilemma
I want you to know more about me. Even a Biography is limited, so I want to go one step further and open you up to my likes, hates, fears and hero’s. If you meet me in public this deep dive gives you a lot to talk to me about, whether you agree or disagree with me. I also want to make it interactive and fun, so that besides learning about me, your can vote with or against my personal choices.
What's in it for you?
Firstly, everything I have to share, be it wisdom, opinion or just facts, it’s all free. I think we have an obligation to freely share our knowledge and ideas to improve everyone’s life around us. I believe the individual is sacred, regardless of their colour, race, religion, gender or political ideology. If we all agreed with each other the world would be a dull place.
I am a huge free speech advocate, within the law, and encourage every body to speak honestly and passionately. But I ask that we all respect each others views, especially if you disagree with them. Every day is a school day and we learn more from debates and the errors we make; more than from the traditional indoctrination of the ‘captured’ educational classroom. Woke has choked the Education system. Fortunately many people now realise that ‘Woke’ is ‘Broke’.

My Story in 60 seconds
Born into a working-class family in the industrial city of Birmingham over fifty years ago, I lived a basic existence with little hope of success. My parents married because my mother was pregnant with me, so I really was an unwanted and unloved child, not that that has bothered me, it just made me strong and determined. An uncle accidental bought me an encyclopedia when I was 5, which changed my life. It was the only book I had and I learnt it back to front. My father was illiterate and my mother puritanical and tired. I therefore taught myself everything and was lucky enough to gain entry into King Edwards Grammar School. The rest was just energy and enthusiasm for life and the desire to leave home at 16, change my name and travel the world, which I still do today. As the German’s say, I have a ‘lust’ for life. I have worked in 2 wars, lived in four countries and have 2 children from a German partner and 2 children from my English wife.

SAD NEWS: The singer from my rock band RICOCHET, Geoff Sewell, recently died. I’ve done a tribute to him based on an unreleased song he wrote. He was a great songwriter and a legend for RICOCHET. This prophetic song really shows his talent as a lyricist.
